If you're looking to adopt green iguana, it's a similar situation to looking to adopt a dog.
You see, green iguanas put up for adoption have often been neglected or mistreated and may or may not be suffering from a range of
iguana health problems as a result.
They may also have iguana behaviour problems and are often oversized as they have outgrown their old owner's cage.
My suggestion to you would be to get familiar with raising and caring for a baby iguana, taking him to adulthood and then decide if adopting is something you'd like to try.
Once you get to this point, like a dog owner, you will have read a lot of books, spoken to a lot of people, and have lots more experince to go on.
In my humble opinion, there is nothing sadder than an animal being adopted, then put up for adoption again as it's second owner hasn't thought
through the additional responsibility involved.
