Iguana Care
Care Of Iguanas
Once you've learnt the basic principles iguana care is surprisingly simple.
Infact in a few months time you'll wonder why you ever needed to read about the care of iguanas it all seems so simple.
Firstly, I should say that we are going to cover iguana cages later on in this section of the site.
But putting iguana cages to one side for a minute, we need to know about the environment within the cage
so we can set it up in such a way as to keep your iguana happy.
As we discussed in the iguanas in the wild section, iguanas come from oist, tropical rainforst regions and like to climb trees.
So to succeed with iguana care we need to ensure the environment in which our iguana is kept is:
- Humid
- Warm
- Tall, with things to climb on
That's a start.
What else?
Iguanas, as we have seen, dwell around sitting water, and are excellent swimmers.
We should add an area of water therefore to the tank which is great enough to allow your iguana to fully immerse itself when it fancies it.
